X Factor-ness!!

Hair Products - posted by Hair 1 Direct Team on September 29th, 2010No Comments »

The most talked about topic in the salon this week=X FACTOR! Its that time again where the singing contest has taken over the UK and its only a couple of weeks until the live shows!

The next best thing after the judges houses stage will be the ‘Makeover’ stage which is always interesting, however some of the contestants already have good styles; we really like Rebecca Fergusons first audition outfit, especially her gold bow bracelet that she wore, the dress she had on for her second audition was stunning and her hair was very current in that top-knot style but a lot more classic version of it.

Even though she is only 16 Cher Lloyd has a cool sense of style aswell and we have really liked some of the shoes she has worn (hopefully they won’t make her up to look to grown up for her age and keep her quite trendy)! Read the rest of this entry »

Thats right, we have more goodies from Moroccan Oil to help brighten these winter days! After having this product in our salon for little over 16 months we have worked out that we have probably used the oil itself on about 20,000 people…and we are still not bored of it! We love that this hair oil can be used on any person at any age! It is extremely great for:

Grey hair..(even on gents) Grey hair can become quite coarse and dry, with the use of moroccan oil it will soften the hair and help smooth it out.

Last week 6 Different collections all had their models hair styled by Tigi at London Fashion week, with a number of different hairstyles the new catwalk ranges have proved to work extremely well.

The most popular choices it seems were Your Highness and the Curlesque Range.

Christopher Kanes collection was very bright and colourful and the inspiration for the hair was a young Princess Margeret and friends look. The hair was prepped by the root boost spray (which was brushed through the hair), they wanted to get volume at the front with the sides quite tight, to do this Read the rest of this entry »

However, we feel that as we have just seen the brand new GHD Styler and Christmas Edition sets they are going to release, we can get a little bit more excited for the festive season. With a few differences and added extras the new Gold Classic stylers are their sleekest yet. And the actual plates have been changed from yellow to gold (which we love)!!

With Cheryl Cole being absent from the world of XFactor over the summer, we are now really happy that we are seeing her out and about again. Cheryl Cole has graced the cover of the current issue of Vogue, for the second time and is no less than stunning. In our salon we are always being asked how to get the ‘Cheryl Cole Look’. With ‘messy’ up-do’s being huge this season, Cheryl’s hair is bang on trend.
