You probably wouldn’t think it but Wella was started in the days of the German Empire (which was the 1880s)! A man named Franz Shoer started making wigs and hairpieces, this led to a revolutionary product called Tullemoid Waterproof, the first product that is waterproof and secures a wig. In 1904 this product was the best seller and for the next 20 years his business thrived. The company was founded on innovation and vision.

Having been with us for a month now, we are really enjoying using/playing around with TheO. In the salon we have mostly been using it to just simply create volume in all hair and showing customers that these heated rollers are not just a set! (Try not to think of your nan when she has her shampoo and set)!
As we were the first to get the stock to retail we know that some of our favourite television stars will be seen with styles created by this product!!…Exciting!!
The 60mm heated rollers are lightweight and great in medium to long hair to add root lift but also giving a smooth glossy finish. To create a similar look to Emma Watson, wash and dry the hair, then with the large rollers place in the hair randomly. Start at the top, taking a section the width of the roller that is 2-3 inches in depth, make sure you brush the section through first straight up from the root then wind the roller down the hair, repeat this on either side. For hair that is a bit thicker/coarser the 40mm size rollers will be good for the next section underneath the ones that have just been rolled. This size will create more bounce at the root and support the larger rollers, again take your section, brush the hair straight up and wind the roller, when you get to the sides the rollers can be wound under or back to create more movement. Then for the bottom section of the hair use the 60mm rollers to create some root lift.Â
Once the rollers are cooled down, rewind the rollers starting at the bottom so you don’t get tangled, to then create this tousled look, run your fingers through your hair to direct it about and create the movement. A soft hairspray is best to hold the hair in place but keep it moveable and non sticky. For added height you can give it some backcombing at the crown to complete your drop dead gorgeous salon look.
